Conference Background

About the 5th International Conference (ICOEST 2027)

The 5th International Conference on Energy, Climate, Sustainability and Technology Translation (ICOEST 2027) continues the evolution of a multidisciplinary conference series dedicated to advancing research, innovation and knowledge exchange in energy and sustainable technologies.

The ICOEST series has evolved through successive editions hosted by leading academic institutions, including Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore; Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur; Lovely Professional University, Punjab; and Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. The conference series has progressively expanded its focus from energy technologies and storage towards clean energy systems, sustainability, climate action and technology deployment.

The 1999 edition at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, held during 1–4 February 1999, marked an early platform for academic and technical exchange in the energy domain. Subsequent editions at Suresh Gyan Vihar University (2018) and Lovely Professional University (2021) strengthened the focus on energy storage, energy efficiency, energy conversion and emerging energy technologies. The ICOEST 2022 at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, further broadened the scope to renewable energy, hydrogen and fuel cells, energy storage, green buildings, electric vehicles, advanced materials, energy efficiency, climate action and carbon neutrality.

Building on this evolution, ICOEST 2027 moves towards the next stage of the energy transition, with a strong emphasis on technology translation and real-world impact. The conference will bring together academicians, researchers, scientists, industry professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs and innovators to discuss emerging developments in renewable energy, smart energy systems, energy storage, hydrogen, electrification, industrial decarbonization, carbon management, advanced materials, sustainable manufacturing, climate resilience and energy security.

Integration of AI/ML, TRL & Commercialization

A key focus of ICOEST 2027 will be the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, digitalization, intelligent energy management and data-driven technologies with emerging energy and climate solutions. Particular attention will be given to Technology Readiness, scale-up, demonstration, industry collaboration, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, commercialization and policy support, thereby bridging the gap between laboratory research and practical deployment.

Through this continued evolution, ICOEST 2027 aims to accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge and technological innovation into secure, affordable, sustainable, resilient and low-carbon solutions for real-world energy, environmental and climate challenges.
